Richard Lavey '89

Dick is currently Executive Vice President at The Hanover Insurance Group and President of Hanover Agency Markets overseeing a $3.8 billion business portfolio. He also has oversight of the Marketing, Operations, Underwriting and Field Sales offices for the organization.  He has held a variety of roles over his 17+ years with the organization. 

He has been an active member of the Worcester community and currently serves as a board member of The Worcester Center for the Performing Arts.  He is also a board member of Assurex Development Corporation and a member of the board of overseers at the Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Dick is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The College of the Holy Cross and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.   He lives in Newton, MA with his wife Tracey and three children, ages 21, 20 and 18.

Donna Murphy O'Brien '77

Donna is President of Strategic Visions in Healthcare, LLC, a healthcare consulting firm that she founded in 2005 specializing in healthcare strategy, population health, and cancer program development for academic medical centers, health systems, research institutes and government.

O’Brien’s healthcare experience includes serving as an executive at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and as Executive Vice President of Catholic Health Long Island. A member of the Holy Cross Board of Trustees, she currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the International Cancer Expert Corps, the Flushing Financial Corporation, and the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. She is co-author of the book Managing Disruptive Change in Healthcare: Lessons from a Public-Private Partnership to Advance Cancer Care and Research with the proceeds directed to the National Cancer Institute for cancer research.

O’Brien is part of a long line of Holy Cross graduates including her brothers Charles Murphy (1978) and Edward Murphy (1985), a nephew Thomas Murphy and his wife Kiirsten Finn (2007), and a niece Julie Murphy (2011). She resides in Garden City New York with her husband Tom O’Brien.

Gene and Maura Fredey

Maura '94 and Gene '93 Fredey - Maura and Gene reside in Winchester, MA with their two daughters. The Fredeys have owned Carole Kitchen & Bath Design since 2004 and more recently have branched out into residential real estate development. Maura’s professional background is in brand and community-building, marketing and public relations. Gene holds an MBA and began his professional career as a CPA. Holy Cross relationships are woven through every aspect of their lives. The Fredeys’ elder daughter joins HC 2025 and the women’s tennis team next fall. 

Courtney Hingston

Courtney Hingston '11 - Courtney is a Boston based financial services consultant focused on providing analytical support and strategic direction across diverse business lines in order to optimize processes and gain efficiencies. To achieve corporate goals in the most effective manner, Courtney works closely with cross-functional teams and develops strong interpersonal relationships to provide solutions that solve specific business challenges.

Marshall McIntosh

Marshall N. McIntosh '95 - Marshall is an executive vice president at PIMCO, leading internal and digital sales in the US. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2009, Marshall held roles at Legg Mason and Citigroup. He has 26 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.

J. Michael McTernan

J. Michael McTernan P22 - Mike is an attorney who handles real estate and business matters in Southeastern Wisconsin. Mike’s vast experience and skill have been instrumental in assisting his clients navigate the complexities of acquiring and developing real estate for various shopping centers, golf courses, industrial complexes and residential neighborhoods throughout the region.

Suzanne Coyne O'Connell

Suzanne Coyne O’Connell '83 - Suzanne is an experienced executive and leader with a 30+ year track record working in the financial sector leading teams, elevating organizational capabilities and delivering technology solutions to top financial services clients. Suzanne has been a leader in workplace transformation, serving as a mentor to many, in particular women,in the financial and technology arenas. Suzanne served as Co-President of the Women’s Bond Club from 2013-2019.

Christopher Rock '03 - Chris is an attorney and partner at Bowditch & Dewey, LLP.  His practice is focused on public finance, including real estate construction and infrastructure improvement projects on behalf of hospitals, universities, human services providers, health clinics, affordable housing developers and other public and private entities throughout Massachusetts.

Jacqueline Rock

Jacqueline Rock '02 - Jackie is responsible for leasing and marketing at International Place, a 1.8 million square foot complex in the heart of Boston's financial district. She holds an MBA and JD from the University of Dayton and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2007.  She is a past president of the Holy Cross Club of Greater Boston and currently serves as a Vice President of the Holy Cross Alumni Association.

Payton Shubrick

Payton Shubrick '15 - Payton is an innovative entrepreneur in the emerging cannabis industry, serving as CEO & Founder of 6 Brick's, an adult use cannabis shop. Payton has a diverse portfolio of work ranging from information technology management, innovation capacity-building, and is currently adjunct professor for a cannabis business graduate program. She is actively engaged in her community of Springfield, MA and serves on three non-profit boards. She was the 2019 Young Alumni Leadership Award recipient. 

Rich Squeglia

Rich Squeglia '91 - Rich is the Founder and Managing Director of Clarite LLC, advising and facilitating the execution of business build-outs, operational transformations, and post-acquisition value creation for senior management teams. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. He remains active volunteering in his local community, and has run numerous marathons in support of various charitable endeavors. He resides in Mountain Lakes, NJ with his wife Jeanne and their five children.

Ivan Watanabe

Iván Watanabe '08 - Iván is a Managing Partner of Opus Private Client, LLC. Iván’s expertise is in asset protection, wealth accumulation, and wealth distribution strategies.  Iván is an active member of the BHC and received the HCAA Young Alumni Leadership Award in 2018.
