Things to Consider During Move-out

MicroFridge

If you have a MicroFridge unit, please empty, clean, and defrost by unplugging the unit and leaving open the refrigerator/freezer doors. Defrosting your unit can take about 2 days, so please begin this process as soon as possible. When you leave campus, please leave the MicroFridge unit in your room, unplugged, and with the refrigerator/freezer doors open.

Driving on Campus

Gates will be open to allow easier access to residence halls. Refer to the map as a guide to assist in the move-out process, and identify the best entrance point to move out of your residence hall. If your parents are planning to assist with your packing, they will need to park their car in one of the lots, then drive to the building to load it up. Please refrain from bringing box trucks through campus, particularly under the bridges by Alumni and Carlin Halls which are 11'10" and 11'7", respectively, in the middle and shorter on the sides. Attempting to bring a box truck through there could cause damage to the truck and the bridge.

Loading Zones

Parking by the residence halls must be for loading/unloading only. Note that cars must only be pulled up to the buildings once they are ready to be loaded. Immediately after cars are loaded they must be moved off-campus or to one of the parking lots referred to above.
