Moving In

The following information will be helpful to you as you prepare to move into the residence halls. Do not hesitate to call the office of Residence Life and Housing at 508-793-2411 if you have any questions.

Fall 2023 Semester Move-In

First-Year Students

Move-in for the Class of 2027 will take place Saturday, August 26, 2023. Please see below for a schedule at a glance of the day. Additional details about Move-in Day will be provided in August.

9am-1pm Residence Hall Move-in
With the help of alumni and student leaders, incoming students will move into their residence halls and 
begin to settle into their rooms. Students will be contacted in August to sign-up for a time.
9am-2pm Completing the Move-in Process
Students will need to complete the move-in process at a centralized place, including: verifying health forms, receiving id, campus employment paperwork, and more.
2:15-3:15pm New Student and Family Reception
Families are invited to gather for some light refreshments and mingling.
4pm Mass of the Holy Spirit
Students and families of all faith traditions are invited to attend.
5pm Goodbye to Families and Friends
5:15pm Fall Orientation Begins

Returning Students

  • Returning students (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) can move in on Monday, Aug. 28th.

Times

First-year students should sign up for time slots on their given move-in days. Information and directions will be sent to students once the process has been finalized, usually a week before move-in is to take place.

Upper-class students may arrive anytime on Monday August 28th or after.

Personal Property Insurance

The College of the Holy Cross assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to a resident’s personal property, nor is the College responsible for property during move-in/move out or left during vacation periods or after termination of residency. Purchasing property insurance to cover loss or damage to personal property or extending homeowners’ property insurance to cover loss or damage is strongly encouraged. Shipping Items Prior to Arrival

You may ship personal belongings to the College prior to your arrival to the address listed below. It is up to you to insure these items. Please address all shipments as follows:
