Moving In

The following information will be helpful to you as you prepare to move into the residence halls. Do not hesitate to call the office of Residence Life and Housing at 508-793-2411 if you have any questions.

Fall 2021 Semester Move-In

Move-in will be split over four days. This helps cut down on the number of students moving in at the same time, which aids in social distancing while ensuring that roommates can still move in on the same day. We will have information on specific move-in times soon and further instruction will be sent to students via email.

First-Year Students

  • First-year students will move in on Saturday, Aug. 28 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Returning and Transfer Students

  • Sophomores can move in on Sunday, Aug. 29 during move-in times between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Seniors and juniors can move in on Monday, Aug. 30 or Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Times

First-year and sophomores students should sign up for time slots on their given move-in days. Information and directions will be sent to students once the process has been finalized. See instructions.

Upperclass students may arrive anytime Monday or Tuesday.

Pre-Arrival and Arrival Testing

All students who are vaccinated do not need to participate in pre-arrival testing but must test on the day of their arrival. Testing is available for students Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you must arrive after testing is closed, your access to activities is limited until you complete your testing the next testing morning. If the testing site is closed, students will need to test the next morning that the testing center is open.

Any student who is UNVACCINATED OR NOT FULLY VACCINATED must send a pre-arrival test to Health Services. Students without this pre-arrival test approved by Health Services will not be allowed to move into the residence halls.

All students and guests must use appropriate masks while in the buildings. Family members who are not vaccinated should remain masked at all times, even at outside events.
