Whether seeking full time employment, research, fellowships, or internship opportunities, it is ideal to start early so you give yourself the benefit of time to better understand your career focus. It is important to cast a wide net and utilize multiple avenues to identify opportunities.


  • Handshake Profile Checklist - Handshake allows you to easily search and apply for internship and full time opportunities. Students with complete and public profiles are viewed by employers three times more frequently. Be sure to have your resume approved in Handshake so that it is ready to submit. 
  • Filter by labels - Utilizing labels on Handshake can help identify jobs and organizations specifically targeting Holy Cross students.

Indeed - If you're going to search for jobs on big search engines, then Indeed is the way to go. Indeed enables you to search jobs posted on 1,000's of websites, by aggregating them all on one site. Employers also post jobs directly on Indeed. No matter where a job is posted, it will be easy to find when you use Indeed. - serves as the leading nexus between internships and students, higher education and employers.

LinkedIn - A widely used professional networking site that helps you connect with people who are in a role, organization or industry that interests you. Over 150 million professionals use LinkedIn, including over 18,000 Holy Cross Alumni.

WorkWithoutLimits- A free job board for job seekers with disabilities to connect with employers in Massachusetts.

Telework Resource Guide - Telework refers to “remote”, “virtual” and “work from home” opportunities. Many companies utilize a fully remote or hybrid model. Utilize the resources in Handshake to explore telework opportunities.
