Our mission is to assist students in the process of career exploration, teach job search skills and provide resources for students seeking internships and first professional positions. Please encourage your students to avail themselves of these services.
The Center for Career Development has transitioned to remote operations due to COVID-19. Please know the CCD is positioned to respond to your student’s needs through virtual means and we are eager to connect with them. We understand that students may be feeling overwhelmed right now and we know they look to their families for advice. Here are some resources to direct your student to:
Stay up to Date! The CCD communicates with students via email. Please remind your student to read it! You can also connect with us on Instagram at CrusaderCareers.
Appointments: All appointments are being conducted via zoom or phone. Students should log in to Handshake, click “Career Center” in the top navigation menu, and then select “Appointments” to schedule a time to speak with a career counselor for career counseling, career exploration advice, or job/internship search advising.
Events: The CCD is planning virtual events for the fall semester including career fairs, networking events and alumni panels. Students can visit Handshake for an up to date list of events and programs and for instructions on how to join remotely. Families can visit our public calendar to view upcoming events.
Career Resources: Students can log in to Handshake to view our How-To Guides and videos, access career resources including Vault, GoinGlobal, the HCNetwork and more.
Internships and Jobs: Employers are posting jobs and internships, hosting virtual office hours, and conducting information sessions. Students can log in to Handshake to apply for opportunities and RSVP for events.
