Holy Cross and its generous alumni and parent donors offer funding to help support unpaid summer internships.
Internships are particularly important for undergraduates studying at a liberal arts institution. These experiences allow students to immerse themselves in an industry of interest and “test drive” a potential career field. Internships also offer an opportunity to network with professionals, develop new skills, and hone existing strengths. All of these things result in career readiness and increased marketability to prospective employers. Internships are no longer a nicety but rather a necessity and have a lasting impact on a student.
When internships are unpaid many Holy Cross students are unable to avail themselves of the experiences and opportunities necessary to grow professionally. The Crusader Internship Fund is meant to provide some financial assistance and increase access to unpaid internships that students may not otherwise be able to accept.
