1. Faculty Fellowship

A limited number of faculty fellowships are awarded each year to provide an opportunity for senior faculty members to pursue scholarly work or professional development. Awards are salaried leaves of absence for one semester or the academic year.

Deadline: October 21 of the academic year prior to the leave. (See Statutes of the Faculty, IV.C.)

2. Research Funds

Funding is available to support a wide variety of scholarly activities. Applicants are limited to two applications and a maximum award of $3,000 annually.

Deadline: October 21, 2019; February 3, 2020; April 6, 2020

3. Publication Funds 

Funding is available for publication needs.

*Applications for the research and publication grants are limited to two applications and a maximum award of $3,000 annually, combined.

4. Batchelor Ford

This fund makes available a limited number of summer faculty fellowships. Each award carries a stipend of $4,000 for the summer plus up to $300 in support of special expenses. All faculty on tenure or tenure-track appointments are eligible.

5. Williams Career Development Grant

These grants are designed to support tenured faculty members who are looking to make a professional transition or advance.

6. Mary Louise Marfuggi Award 

This annual award was established to honor a member of the faculty for outstanding achievement in the creation of original work in the arts and sciences. It is granted to a faculty member based on his or her original work that might include, but not be limited to, books, major research publications, major musical compositions, major works of art, and major presentations of scholarly or creative work. This award is based on nominations from Department Chairs or faculty members and is open to all tenured faculty.
