1. Faculty Fellowship

A limited number of faculty fellowships are awarded each year to provide an opportunity for senior faculty members to pursue scholarly work or professional development. Awards are salaried leaves of absence for one semester or the academic year.

Deadline: October 23, 2023 of the academic year prior to the leave. (See Statutes of the Faculty, IV.C.)

2. O'Leary Covid Support Award

These funds are intended to jump-start research interrupted by the COVID epidemic and to facilitate scholarly activity that will ultimately enhance the case of Associate Professors applying towards promotion to the rank of Full Professor.

3. Batchelor Ford

This fund makes available a limited number of summer faculty fellowships. Each award carries a stipend of $5,000 for the summer. All faculty on tenure or tenure-track appointments are eligible.

4. Mary Louise Marfuggi Award 

This annual award was established to honor a member of the faculty for outstanding achievement in the creation of original work in the arts and sciences. It is granted to a faculty member based on his or her original work that might include, but not be limited to, books, major research publications, major musical compositions, major works of art, and major presentations of scholarly or creative work. This award is based on nominations from Department Chairs or faculty members and is open to all tenured faculty.
