Recreation is an important part of each person’s individual wellness and at Holy Cross we strive to offer opportunities for you to get involved in a wide array of activities outside of Division I athletics. The Office Campus Recreation offers a range of recreational activities through competitive, instructional, informal and recreational leadership opportunities.
From paintball to hiking, skiing to running, the office offers a number of on- and off-campus recreational activities. In collaboration with the Campus Activities Board you have the opportunity to participate and lead these exciting excursions.
Whether you have played a sport for years or are interested in trying something new, the on-campus intramural sports league is for you. Compete against fellow Crusaders in the popular flag football, five-on-five basketball, softball, or soccer leagues in pursuit of the Intramural League Championship. Challenge yourself to complete a one-month Ironman-distance triathlon training or compete with a friend in the annual Holy Cross Amazing Race. Whether a season veteran or trying something new, there is something for everyone.
A total of 23 competitive and semi-competitive club sports teams are offered, from soccer to volleyball, ultimate Frisbee to rugby, ballroom dance to basketball. Players participate in weekly practices and game play throughout the region, some nationally. Club sports offer an opportunity for you to enjoy the benefits of a group experience while also developing your leadership skills and becoming involved through community service projects within the Worcester community.
