Health, Vision and Dental Insurance

According to Massachusetts State Law, if you are enrolled more than half time, you must be covered by an insurance plan that meets the Massachusetts Qualifying Student Medical Insurance Plan (QSHIP) requirements.  All students are billed for insurance every year.  Each year a student must either complete the on-line waiver by August 15th in order to have a credit posted to their tuition account and to confirm continued coverage in another insurance plan or enroll in the health insurance plan.

Please note the waiver must be completed every year you are in attendance at the college. If you choose to enroll in the health plan this process must be completed each year.

Please visit the Holy Cross - University Health Plans website for more information on Health Insurance and Voluntary Dental and Vision Insurance.

Health Services will not bill students insurance for visits on campus or medications/supplies provided from our stock within the clinic. If a student has any medical care done outside of Health Services, this will be billed to the insurance plan by the outside medical provider. This includes bloodwork sent to Quest Laboratory, imaging such as x-ray and ultrasound done at an outside clinic, prescriptions sent to the pharmacy, or referrals to off campus providers.

Students are responsible for knowing their insurance coverage. You can access information about your insurance by calling the Member Services number on your health insurance card, or visiting the website on the card. Health Services is not responsible for any fees incurred from your health insurance.
