Food Plan Usage Policy


  • Dining Services reserves the right to prohibit using guest swipes on St. Patrick’s Day and Spring Weekend unless the guest is registered with the college. Dining Services reserves the right to request other times if needed.
  • Students need to be present when using guest swipes in Kimball.


  • A 30% discount will be given to all Holy Cross students on the Resident Food Plan for a catered event in Hogan. In order to receive the discount, you must place your catering order in EMS 10 business days prior to your event. A list of students and ID numbers must be sent to Kate Massad at and Willow Davey at A report will be run to see how many students are on the Resident Food Plan. The department chart string will be charged the full catered event price for students not on the Resident Food Plan.
  • In order for your event to be eligible for a discount, you must order from the catering menu. Special menu requests and receptions do not qualify. The discount will be applied to your entrée selection. Entrée selections include breakfast buffets, lunch buffets, dinner buffets and plated entrées. Tax and gratuity will be added to your final bill before the discount. Those individuals who attend your event and are not eligible for the food plan discount will receive the 20% discount for booking the event 10 business days in advance. Early booking discount does not apply to students that are already receiving the food plan discount of 30%.
