Since 1989, the College has held an annual United Way of Central MA's (UWCM) fundraiser, its only workplace campaign. Over 3 decades of Holy Cross faculty and staff generosity has enabled the UWCM to continue its mission work organized around Education, Family Stability and Health. We are thankful for our community's support and are pleased to announce the start of this year's campaign.

March 25 through April 11, 2020
You may make your donation online (via a personal, secure online pledge form) or, upon request, by paper pledge form. Check your email in the next few days for a message with the subject line “College of the Holy Cross - United Way Campaign Information,” which will direct you to your secure personal online pledge form via a link. If you do not receive an email, please contact Sue Hunt at shunt@holycross.edu. Donations can be made to the UWCM's general fund or to a specific program or organization. In response to the current public health crisis, the United Way of Central MA launched the We Care Fund, a special emergency fund to help those in our community hardest hit by COVID-19. You can donate directly to the We Care Fund through your online pledge. Of course, if you prefer, you can still donate directly to other programs, such as the Women’s Initiative, Nativity School of Worcester, Boys and Girls Club, Working for Worcester, or Big Brothers Big Sisters, to name just a few.

Q: What does the We Care Fund do?
It will fund urgent needs such as food, shelter, and emergency needs as they arise; Distribute grants (<$5,000); be Worcester-centric; focus on immediate needs over the next 60 days; and funds will be granted to established and vetted partners (not individuals) as agreed upon by the UWCM, the City of Worcester, & the Greater Worcester Community Foundation. Provided to services related to need resulting from COVID-19.
Q: Can I use a paper pledge form instead of submitting an online donation?
Yes, you can. Download the HC UW Pledge form and return it by mail!
Q: Can I divide my donation between 2 programs?
Yes. The online pledge form allows you to designate your donation to just one or multiple programs. You can specify the amount or the percentage of your total contribution.
