Individuals with a learning disability who wish to receive academic support services or academic accommodations must submit appropriate documentation which verifies the nature of the disability to the Office of Accessibility Services.
Documentation should include the results from standardized measures of achievement. Additional diagnostic or medical data may be submitted by the student or requested by the Office of Accessibility Services.
The documentation must identify the specific learning disability and the evaluation must have been conducted within the last three years.
Students who do not have a current evaluation for a learning disability may be referred to an assessment specialist in the local area. The student would be responsible for arrangements and any financial charges connected with the assessment.
