***Beginning on September 15, 2021, this group will be held on Wednesdays at 1 pm for the Fall 2021 semester***

LGBTQIA+ and TGNC+ Groups

These groups provide space for students of all backgrounds who identify as LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, and asexual/aromantic and all other members of the community) and TGNC+ (trans, gender non-conforming, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, agender, questioning, and all other members of the community) to speak with others who may share similar experiences or challenges and to be a part of a group where all feel comfortable and welcome.

The conversations are facilitated by Meg Fox-Kelly and Kelsey Moran, who are confidential staff members, and discussion topics are chosen by the group.

Past topics for conversation have included:

  • coming out

  • the impact of one's sexuality and gender identity on relationships with family, friends, and partners

  • intersecting identities and social justice issues

  • faith and spirituality

  • being LGBTQIA+/TGNC+ at Holy Cross

The group meeting times are private so that all students, regardless of where they are in the coming out process, can participate and feel safe. Regardless of whether you are on or off-campus this semester, we can help you find a safe way to engage with the groups if you want to be involved.

If you are interested in finding out more about either of the groups, or if you may not be ready to participate but wish to talk with someone individually, please contact Meg Fox-Kelly, Associate Chaplain from the Chaplains' Office at or Kelsey Moran, Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of LGBTQIA+ Counseling Services and Programming from the Counseling Center at
