Faculty & Staff Engagement

JEBI Foundations Certificate Program

This six-course justice, equity, belonging, and inclusion certificate program will help faculty and staff acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate within Holy Cross’ diverse and inclusive community, as well as the local community and beyond. This program will help Holy Cross begin that shift in understanding from competence to humility resulting in the acknowledgment and respect of all colleagues' individuality, while promoting empathy, connection, and a healthier campus community. Inclusive Hiring Training

This training is designed for faculty and staff who plans to participate in the hiring process, such as search committees. Inclusive Hiring Training helps to enhance inclusivity and equity, as well as mitigate bias, throughout the hiring process. For questions or to learn more, please reach out to Dr. Tita Feraud-King at pferaud-king@holycross.edu or Cullen Mulrooney at cmulroon@holycross.edu.

Affinity Groups

Affinity groups are employee-led groups formed around interests, backgrounds, identities, and common bonds. By engaging with our affinity groups, Holy Cross staff and faculty help foster a positive work environment and contribute to the College’s mission by demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion. In partnership with Human Resources, the JEBI Office is proud to support Outfront, an affinity group for LGBTQIA+-identified faculty, staff, and their allies, and Sister2Sister, an affinity group for faculty and staff who identify as women of color or are committed to supporting faculty and staff who identify as women of color. Please click here to learn more about faculty and staff affinity groups.

Consultation and Collaboration

Faculty and staff can contact the JEBI Office for consultation related to justice, equity, belonging, and identity. Our team can offer support, guidance, and best practices, as well as workshops and training sessions for departments and groups. Our offerings are tailored in collaboration with the requestors to ensure we can meet our colleagues' needs.

We collaborate with campus partners to offer programming and events that bring faculty and staff together for professional development, learning, networking, and connection.

To request individual consultation, a group workshop, or to collaborate on programming, please email us at jebi@holycross.edu.

Through the development of campus-wide surveys, the facilitation of focus groups, and the evaluation of workshops, training sessions, and programs, the JEBI Office continuously assesses the College's progress toward our inclusive excellence goals and works to foster a sense of belonging in a welcoming campus environment.
