Apr. 13, 2023 | Changes to COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

Hello Students,

We are writing to inform you that the COVID-19 primary and booster vaccines will no longer be required beginning May 11, 2023. This transition aligns with the end of the Massachusetts public health emergency and is consistent with other higher education institutions.

We appreciate your cooperation with the COVID-19 vaccination policy over the past two years. COVID-19 immunizations are still highly recommended for all individuals as they reduce the risk of severe COVID-19 infection. The College will continue to offer COVID-19 booster clinics and seasonal flu vaccine clinics, but these vaccines will be optional. As this virus continues to evolve and our understanding of COVID-19 increases, we will continue to evaluate our policies and respond to any emergent situations.

Students who were approved for a vaccine accommodation are not required to re-submit their vaccination exemption request for the 2023-2024 academic year. Students are encouraged to continue to upload their COVID-19 and flu immunization history into their patient portal when submitting their other immunizations that are required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We have many tools in our toolbox to protect us from COVID, including masking, vaccination, testing, and staying home when we are feeling ill. Thank you for continuing to consider the decisions you can make to stay healthy and protect the health of those around you.
