Hi there! ¡Hola a todos!
My name is Daniel and I´ll be one of your favorite Spanish FLA´S for the forthcoming academic year. I was born and raised in León, the best place ever in the North of Spain, home of the Legio Séptima Gémina and the greatest tapas in the peninsula. Although I am bonded to León, I have spent the last five years traveling around and learning everything about different languages and cultures, which makes me who I am today: a passionate philologist willing to show you the bright side of learning Spanish.
Regarding my academic background, I did my bachelor’s and masters in English philology and secondary education, coming back and forth between the University of León, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The UK, and South Korea. Later on, I came back to sharpen my skills as a Spanish teacher! I am also graduating with my Spanish language bachelor´s in July so you will get a fresh-out-of-the-oven teacher full of enthusiasm! I have also been teaching foreign languages at academies and schools for a few years now, so I will be providing you with some of the most engaging activities you might ever experience.
If you see me around campus, remember: I´m Spanish, hence, kind and friendly even if I do not look very approachable at first! Do not hesitate to talk to me.
I will be there in the blink of an eye, so I really hope that you are ready to learn some Spanish pragmatics and culture!
I do not want to overextend myself, so if you are interested in doing some cool sports, hikes, photos, trips or just hanging around here you have a Spanish buddy! We Spaniards are very “real” we say, if you get a Spanish friend they will be forever
