¡Hola a todos!
My name is Carolina, and I am thrilled to be part of the FLA program in the 2023/2024 academic year. I am 23 years old and I come from Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital city.
I studied literary and scientific translation at the Universidad del Salvador, and I usually translate from English to Spanish. Since I was a little child, I always knew that my true passion was to travel around the world and explore new cultures, new languages, and new people. That was one of the main reasons why I decided to become a translator. I have worked as a freelance translator since 2021, but last year I took a second job as an ESL teacher, which helped me understand the difficulties students may face when learning a new language.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to Taylor Swift, watching (a lot of) TV shows, movies, and musicals, and playing tennis. I enjoy learning new languages too, so I have been studying Italian as a third language. I am also a great chef! So I would love to share with you some delicious Argentinian dishes. I would love to get to know more about America and its culture, especially the typical celebrations like Thanksgiving and Halloween.
I really hope to help you learn Spanish in a fun and dynamic way, as well as share a little bit of my passionate culture!
