Immediately following the special Academic Convocation on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 4 p.m. in Hogan Ballroom, Diane Brady, author of Fraternity, will moderate a conversation with Rev. John E. Brooks, S.J. '49, president emeritus, and Clarence Thomas '71, associate justice of the United States.
Ms. Brady has agreed to review questions from the Holy Cross Community about her book and research, the relationship between Fr. Brooks and the African American students he recruited to campus, and how Holy Cross was shaped by events on- and off-campus in the late 1960s and early 1970s. While not all questions can be addressed during the conversation, she will incorporate a few representative ones into her discussion with Fr. Brooks and Justice Thomas.
