Nov. 17, 2022 | Precautions Before Thanksgiving Break

Dear Students:

We are getting close to Thanksgiving break! I wanted to remind you of a few tips to stay safe before returning home. Make sure to monitor yourself for symptoms and consider taking precautions to avoid getting sick. This includes good hand hygiene, masking, and avoiding social gatherings. Please continue to test if you feel sick; an undiagnosed illness will not only affect you but also the people around you who may have travel plans or vulnerable family or friends.

  • If you are sick, make sure you test for COVID and Flu and report positive tests here
  • Mask if you are sick, even if it is not COVID or Flu
  • Mask if you are high risk or have family members who may be high risk
  • Masking is strongly encouraged when in crowded areas
  • Avoid large gatherings this upcoming weekend if you are concerned about being sick for Thanksgiving break and if you have vulnerable family members or friends
  • Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands

As always, rapid COVID test kits are available at the entryway of Health Services Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.
