Hello!
My name is Laura and I’ll be part of the Spanish FLAs team next year. I’m looking forward to starting this new adventure and meeting you all, but before that, I’d like you to know me a little bit.
I was born 29 years ago in a beautiful town in Southern Spain. I have a mixed Catalan-Andalusian family heritage which has awakened my curiosity about languages and cultures since childhood.
After graduating in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada, I decided to broaden my cultural knowledge by studying an MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Getting to know different worldviews has become one of the main goals in both my personal and professional life. I’ve lived in different countries in Europe (Poland, France and Portugal), and visited many others, including the United States, which I’m thrilled to get to know better this time.
I’m currently finishing my MA in Language Teaching, so I can’t wait to share with you everything I’ve learned while also learning from you. I believe learning is a continuous process which comes in diverse forms and through various senses, so I’d love to accompany you on your journey of experiencing Spanish language and culture through arts, cinema, literature, music or food, to name but a few :)
Happy to meet you soon! ¡Hasta pronto!
Laura
