Spanish FLA
Biography
¡Hola!
My name is Alejandro and I will be one of your new Spanish FLAs for the 2019/2020 academic course. I’m 27 years old and I come from Ferrol, a town located in the region of Galicia, in the northwestern area of Spain. In my humble opinion, it is one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the country and I hope that I can tell you all about it.
I’m currently finishing my Master’s thesis on Advanced English Studies at the University of Coruña, where I’ve also studied for my English and Spanish degrees. During the last year, I’ve been a teacher for adults and other college-aged students, but currently I’m having a great time teaching English to children ages 1 to 12.
Besides languages, I also love travelling, watching movies, reading, and going to concerts and all kinds of live performances in general (theater, stand-up, you name it).
Although I’ve travelled to some of the most famous European cities like Barcelona, London or Paris, this will be my first time in the U.S. and my first time living abroad in general. I’m confident it will be a fulfilling experience and hopefully I will be able to share my passion for languages and culture with all of you! I’m very much looking forward to meeting you guys in class and embracing the perks and responsibilities of being a FLA at Holy Cross.
