Football Game at Polar Park

In one of the many exciting events taking place during Family Weekend, Holy Cross football will take on the Colgate University Raiders at Worcester’s brand new Polar Park, home of the WooSox. 

The game, which will mark the first time the ballpark will be transformed into a football field, will be played Saturday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. 

The Family Weekend ticket package is sold out. General Admission tickets are still available through the WooSox Ticket Office website

Please note: Complimentary student tickets for the designated student section will be available to Holy Cross students. If students would like to sit with their families, however, tickets should be purchased together through the WooSox ticket office.

FAQs

Yes, there will be tickets available for students to claim. The complimentary student tickets are designated for The Berm area. Students will be able to pick up their ticket at the Athletics ticket office located in the Luth Athletics Complex at Holy Cross. Information will be sent out directly to students from Athletics for ticket pick up starting the week of Oct. 18.

The only way to ensure that you and your student are seated together is to purchase a ticket for your student. 

The Family Weekend ticket package is available to Holy Cross families for $25/person. The package includes a reserved seat in section TBD preselected F&B menu (i.e., hot dog, chips, and a soft drink). Update: The ticket package is now sold out. 

General admissions tickets are still available for $15. Fans with General Admission Tickets will have the opportunity to watch the game from the bar stools on the concourse, the right field party deck, the Craft Beer Corner, or one of the many other flexible seating areas around the park.

This game is expected to sell out, so it is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets as far in advance as you can. 

This event will use the same parking plan that is used for home WooSox games. View WooSox game day parking information. Prices range from $5 to $15 for city-owned lots. Private lots are also available, with variable pricing.

The College will not be sponsoring or organizing tailgating. The WooSox is communicating with ticket holders about limited tailgating. The Worcester Irish Club at 19 Temple Street has also extended an invitation to fans for a pre-game gathering.

Tickets are transferable through our ticketing platform. The WooSox does not typically offer refunds except for special circumstances.

In accordance with the City of Worcester mask policy, all WooSox employees, vendors, and visitors to the ballpark, regardless of vaccination status need to wear masks or face coverings in all indoor spaces at Polar Park. These areas include the DCU Club, Suites, the Country Bank Fan Services Center, as well as indoor spaces on the Madison Street Level.

Yes. The College will also be providing shuttles to and from Polar Park beginning at noon at no cost. Shuttles will return to campus after the game, but riders should anticipate a wait time on the return trip. The last shuttle will depart Polar Park at 9 p.m.
