In addition to the College’s numerous long-term service partnerships with area nonprofits and businesses, there are many local organizations in need of Holy Cross volunteers for one-day service projects (road races/walks, playground cleanups, etc.) in the community. Opportunities for faculty, staff and students to get involved in such events are posted below.

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is in need of 5-10 volunteers for Thursday, September 11th from 8:30 AM until noontime at the Blackstone Valley Cinemas in Millbury. Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis & Senator Michael Moore are co-sponsoring a FREE movie event for alzheimer’s & dementia patients as well as their families. The volunteers are needed to help welcome and “usher” the attendees while inside the theater. Volunteers will receive Community Service Hours from the Sheriff for their service. |

stART on the Street is a series of art, music, food and cultural events in Worcester, MA.
stART on the Street is organized by a group of dedicated volunteers committed to changing the cultural scope of Worcester and Central Massachusetts. stART on the Street is the signature event; a day long arts, music, and cultural celebration on Park Avenue in Worcester, MA.

Reliant Foundation 5K 10am on Saturday, October 4th. |
The Reliant Foundation 5K is taking place at 10am on Saturday, October 4th. The event information can be found here: http://www.reliantfoundation. Volunteers are asked for a time commitment starting at 9:30am until the run and walk finishes at about 11:15am. Volunteers are a huge help to us out on the race course. In the past, we've had volunteers ranging from kids on track teams to adult volunteers with no running experience whatsoever. All volunteers will get a free t-shirt and post race refreshments.
