Class of 2020 Schedule of Events

Thursday, June 23

Class of 2020 Spirit of Boston Dinner Boat Cruise | World Trade Center, Commonwealth Pier  - THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
Join classmates for the “unofficial” kick-off to the 2020 Celebration weekend! Your ticket includes a buffet dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, DJ and dancing.  A cash bar will be available. Click HERE for parking and directions. Please note that transportation to/from campus is not available. $50 per person (Grads plus up to one guest)
Friday, June 24  
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Bookstore Open | Hogan Campus Center, 1st Floor
Stock up on your HC gear and enjoy a 20% discount all weekend long!
4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Check-In  | Hogan Campus Center, Room 320
Check-in closes at 8:00 p.m.  If you are planning to arrive after 8:00 p.m., please call us prior to that time at 508-793-3031 and your  packet, including dorm code, will be held at Public Safety.
 
4:00 p.m. Residence Hall Opens | Brooks Hall 

Due to limited space, only members of the Class of 2020 may register for housing. Housing is first come, first serve and overflow accommodations will be in Lehy Hall.  You may indicate your roommate preference when you register.  If you do not indicate a roommate, you may be assigned one if availability becomes limited in the residence hall.  

Rooms include bed linens, pillows, bath towels and soap but are not serviced daily.  You may wish to bring extra soap, towels, pillow, clothes hangers, shower sandals or a portable fan. $20 per night (Grads only)

7:00 - 11:00 p.m. Class of 2020 Welcome Dinner | Hoval Tent and Crossroads
Enjoy a casual evening on the Hoval with catering by Blazing Hearth Wood-Fired Pizza Truck. A buffet of pizzas, salad and dessert will be served from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  A beer/wine cash bar will be available.  $20 per person includes one drink ticket (Grads only)

10:30 a.m. Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony | Rehm Library  
The Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society will officially induct members of the Class of 2020 into this prestigious honor society. A separate invitation will be sent out for this event.

The Bishop Healy Committee of the Holy Cross Alumni Association invites grads and families to a reception honoring their achievements.
1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Grads and Family Barbecue | Practice Field behind Luth Athletic Complex
Enjoy a catered barbecue featuring a classic pit smoked BBQ menu, interactive games and ice cream truck!  A beer/wine bar will be available with two drink tickets provided to attendees 21+.  $15 per grad , $25 per guest
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. 2020 Varsity Athletes and Coaches Meet-up 
Stop by the Holy Cross Athletics tent set up at the barbecue to connect with former coaches and have an opportunity to meet Kit Hughes, Director of Athletics.
4:30 p.m. Baccalaureate Mass | St. Joseph Memorial Chapel 
Rev. Keith A. Class of 2020 Degree Recognition Ceremony | Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex
The College will gather to celebrate the Class of 2020 and their achievements. Family members, faculty and staff are invited to join Vincent D. Rougeau, president of the College in recognizing the class. Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, former president of the College, will join the ceremony to recognize the degrees of the Class of 2020.  If you have not ordered a cap and gown, please email alumni@holycross.edu as soon as possible.  Note that tickets are not required for this event.

Graduates should arrive by 9:45 a.m. to the Hockey Arena in the Luth Athletic Complex for the ceremony which will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Please note it is very important to arrive on time so that we may appropriately line you up and prepare for the ceremony. A light breakfast will be provided for those walking in the ceremony.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. for guests.  The procession will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. so we advise guests to arrive and be seated no later than 10:15 a.m.  Seating is first come, first serve. There are handicap seating options available on the basketball floor area and on the second floor accessible by elevators.

GradImages will be photographing graduates. Each person will have their photo taken on stage and after they exit the stage. Proofs of these will be available after the ceremony. You will be able to purchase prints and/or digital copies of the images. Graduates can pre-register on the GradImages website to directly receive their Commencement proofs. Those who pre-register will receive a coupon code.

 **Make sure to take a stroll down the Class of 2020 Pathway from Hogan Campus Center to "The Jo".  In recognition that the journey of life follows an unpredictable path, this pathway was generously given by the Class of 2020 parents and students, to pay tribute to the class for rising to extraordinary challenges in their final semester.
