About the Provost

Elliott Visconsi '95, PhD, was named Provost and Dean of the College in July 2023. As Chief Academic Officer of the College, the provost leads the division of Academic Affairs and works closely with the President to set strategic goals and priorities that enable innovative teaching, scholarship and learning. 

The Provost's Office is central to advancing the institution's academic mission. The team works together and across the College to implement academic priorities, oversee policies and standards, and assess program efficacy, including accreditation. The office supports faculty development, manages recruitment, retention, and promotion processes, and leads curricular planning. It also conducts financial stewardship and long-range academic planning. Additionally, the office incubates strategic initiatives and academic innovation, key to driving continued academic excellence.
