Meet the Office of Student Involvement
Brenda Hounsell Sullivan (she/her/hers)
Assistant Dean/ Director of Student Involvement

Brenda has led the Office of Student Involvement since 2012. Brenda has devoted her career to providing and creating vibrant outside of the classroom experiences for students through events, programs, and leadership development. She centers her work around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) efforts and the Ignatian principles of reflective habits. During her time at Holy Cross she has served as the advisor for a number of student organizations including Advocating Student Interests in Asia, the Black Student Union, the Campus Activities Board, Developing & Educating South-Asian Ideologies. Brenda received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western New England University and her Master’s of Education in Student Personnel Administration from Springfield College and is currently a doctoral student at UMASS Boston’s program for Global Inclusion and Social Development.
Patrick Rogers (he/him/his)
Director of Orientation and Transition

Patrick manages and directs Gateways Orientation and advises all branches of the Student Government Association. Patrick is a first-generation college graduate from Providence College where he earned his undergraduate degree in social work. He continued his education at the University of Connecticut for his Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs where he worked as an academic coach for college students with disabilities as well as working in one of UConn’s five cultural centers. Patrick also holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University, and spent time as a group therapist for young adults and college students at a behavioral health hospital. Patrick began working professionally at Holy Cross in 2019 as an Assistant Director for Transition and has served as a NODA Intern with Passport at Holy Cross and as an orientation intern at NC State University. When he’s not on campus working an event and spending time working with students, Patrick enjoys spending time back at home with family in southeastern Massachusetts and watching reality competition television shows.
Caitlin MacNeil '13 (she/her/hers)
Associate Director for Leadership Development

Caitlin joined the Office of Student Involvement in July 2022. In her role, she oversees the training and operations of the College’s 100+ Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs). Additionally, Caitlin offers leadership trainings to student leaders across campus, including Gallup CliftonStrengths training and coaching. She is a proud alumna of the Holy Cross Class of 2013. After graduating from Holy Cross, Caitlin received her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration from Springfield College in 2015. She is currently a doctoral student in New England College’s Higher Education Administration program. Outside of work, Caitlin spends time rooting on the Red Sox and WooSox, vacationing in Maine, and exploring with her Goldendoodle, Finnegan.
Mackenzie Drew (she/her/hers)

Mackenzie joined the Office of Student of Involvement in July 2023. In her role, she oversees the spirit programs which consists of the cheer team, marching band, and pep band. Alongside these groups she aims to promote Holy Cross spirit across campus! Mackenzie is a 2022 graduate of Assumption University where she earned her degree in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and exploring Worcester with friends!
Mark Kubasak '20 (he/him/his)

Mark serves as the advisor to the Campus Activities Board, supervises the Event Manager team, and oversees the Sader Center program where students can borrow items, games, and activities completely free of charge. He is also the OSI Liaison to Academic and Religious recognized student organizations. After graduating from Holy Cross in 2020, Mark earned his M.S. in Counselor Education in Student Development in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University in 2022. In his free time, Mark enjoys gaming with friends and watching soccer.

Jennifer Feraud ’21 is proud to serve as the Assistant Director of Student Involvement here at Holy Cross. She holds a Master’s degree in Education in Curriculum & Teaching from Boston University and a deep-rooted understanding of diversity from her sociology and Africana Studies background at Holy Cross. As a Worcester native and Holy Cross alumna, she is deeply committed to enhancing student engagement and promoting social justice. In her current role, she focuses on overseeing Multicultural Student Organizations (MSO) and Student Media Groups, creating accessible, enriching college experiences and fostering an inclusive environment that embodies Holy Cross’s mission. Her goal is to support student leadership and ensure every student can thrive without barriers.

Program and Events Coordinator for Student Involvement and Spirit Programs

Taryn joined the Office of Student Involvement in February 2022. In her role she oversees the day to day operations of the office which includes the supervision of our student staff. She also works alongside student organizations and programs to help plan and implement events, complete financial processes and provide vendor support. One of Taryn's favorite parts of her job is when students stop by the office to say hello and grab a piece of candy.
Kelly Knutelski (she/her/hers)
Coordinating Assistant for the Student Government Association and Recognized Student Organizations

Kelly joined the Office of Student Involvement in January 2024. In her role, she provides logistical and administrative support to the Student Government Association and recognized student organizations. Kelly graduated from Assumption University in 2023, earning a degree in English. In her free time, she enjoys expanding her plant collection, cooking Polish food with her family, and spending time with her nephew.
