Information Technology Services

Technology support is provided through the Help Desk in Information Technology Services (ITS), located in the basement of Fenwick Hall. ITS staff can assist with applications used by students at the College, including Gmail (email), STAR (online student information), Microsoft Office, and Moodle (course management system). We also help with network problems involving PCs and Macs, including devices such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, gaming consoles, and web enabled televisions.

If Help Desk staff determine that additional resources are needed, you will be connected to an ITS student-staff member or a work order ticket will be assigned to a technical specialist. Please visit the ITS Help Desk at for information about other services provided by ITS, such as residence hall network connectivity, self-service passphrase resets, latest virus information, and other tips and techniques.

The ITS Systems Status page offers the current status of services provided by ITS.

View information expressly for first-year students on the ITS website.

Mail Services

Located on the first floor of the Hogan Campus Center, the Post Office is a contract station of the United States Postal Service (USPS). A full-service Post Office that sells stamps, money orders, and mailing bags/boxes, it also provides Express Mail Service, UPS services, and is a FedEx drop-off point. The USPS and UPS window hours are Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Your student Holy Cross mailroom number will appear on STAR in early August. This four-digit number corresponds to your virtual mailbox. The Holy Cross Post Office no longer uses any physical mailboxes. The virtual mailbox system works as follows: When a piece of first-class mail arrives, it gets scanned and you receive an email informing you that there is a piece of mail waiting to be picked up. You can then retrieve your mail at the Post Office service window located between locker banks 1 & 2 Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. When you receive a package, it can be picked up from 24/7 “smart” lockers whenever the Hogan Campus Center is open. You will receive an email and text message containing a code and the locker bank number where the package is stored. Oversize or overflow packages can be picked up from the back post office window from Monday – Friday between 11 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Those sending mail or packages to students should use the following format:

Student Name – #### (four-digit mailroom number from STAR)
College of the Holy Cross
1 College St.
Worcester, MA 01610-2395

Please note that residence hall names or room numbers should not be included as part of the address. Although UPS and FedEx both state that deliveries cannot be made to a post office or post office box number, the format shown above is considered an acceptable delivery address. Never use “P.O. Box” on any mail or packages, as parcels marked in this manner may instead be delivered to a post office box elsewhere in Worcester. Simply include the four-digit mailroom number from STAR on the same address line as your last name.

First- and second-year students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus. Certain exceptions (e.g., health or medical reasons) are considered on a case-by-case basis. First-year resident students with an exemption to have a car on campus are required to park solely in Student Lot #5 unless they have an HP placard.

Holy Cross offers a robust shuttle service that can assist in transporting first- and second-year students to and from school-related activities in the Worcester area.

There is no overnight parking in any non-student campus parking lot without express permission of the Public Safety Department.

SGA Shuttles

The Student Government Association provides shuttles each week day (Monday through Friday) to area shopping and throughout Worcester each weekend (Saturday and Sunday). See the SGA Services for more information.

Holy Cross Shuttles

Holy Cross offers shuttle rides to local programs and other van services. To practice social distancing, van services will be extremely limited for the foreseeable future.
