Tuition Exchange
Tuition Exchange (TE) is a reciprocal scholarship opportunity for eligible faculty and staff dependents at 700+ individual member schools.
TE allows dependents eligible for tuition remission at their home institution (parent's employer) to be considered for a scholarship at other TE participating institutions. Each institution is responsible for determining admission and scholarship decisions, and neither admission nor receipt of a TE scholarship is guaranteed.
Tuition Exchange (TE) Program
Employees of Tuition Exchange (TE) participating institutions should create a TE Account and submit the online EZ-Application. The TE Coordinator at your institution will submit proof of your eligibility via the Tuition Exchange platform. Questions regarding eligibility should be directed to the TE Coordinator or Human Resources contact at your home institution.
Your dependent student should apply to Holy Cross via the Common Application or Coalition Application. Early Decision I, Early Decision II and Regular Decision applicants are eligible for TE consideration. Early Decision applicants should consider the binding nature of an ED commitment prior to applying. If the TE scholarship will play a major role in the final enrollment decision, the student should apply via Regular Decision.

We strongly encourage you to complete the FAFSA and the CSS Profile to complete the financial aid process. It is in your best interest to file these applications so that we may provide you with an estimated financial aid offer in the event you do not receive a TE offer.
TE decisions for all applicants (including Early Decision) will be released in the middle of March, in tandem with Regular Decision notification. We will maintain a waitlist and notify accepted students promptly of any change in their TE status.
If you receive a Tuition Exchange Scholarship, it will supersede any other financial aid offer provided by the College of the Holy Cross. This scholarship is offered to students for up to four years, or a maximum of eight semesters. The scholarship is renewable provided that the student’s parent remains employed at their home institution. Recipients must maintain good academic progress and a satisfactory disciplinary record.
The value of the Tuition Exchange Scholarship is equal to the amount charged for tuition only. Students are expected to pay all fees, housing and meal charges. Students may use the Tuition Exchange Scholarship to participate in approved Holy Cross study abroad programs during the academic year.
Please note: At Holy Cross, TE Scholarships are awarded to incoming first year students. Current or returning students not offered the scholarship at the time of admission are not eligible for TE consideration. Transfer students are not eligible for TE consideration.
