Individual counseling of our students is the cornerstone of our advising system. It is available on a regular basis throughout the school year.
Our prelaw advisor, Professor Scott Sandstrom, who has taught at the College for over 30 years, is a certified public accountant and has a law degree.
Teaching in the Department of Economics and Accounting, his course offerings range from Financial Accounting and Federal Income Tax to Business Law. His unique combination of scholarship and teaching, including his own law school experience, make him an invaluable advisor to students and alumni who are interested in attending law school.
We offer many services to both our undergraduates and alumni seeking to study law.
Preparing an application strategy, developing a personal essay, choosing to study law (or not), financing one's graduate education and preparing for the law school admissions test (LSAT) are topics frequently discussed. Group presentations are given each year to students at different levels about law study and the admission process.
