Completing the 4+1 Program
- As a Holy Cross sophomore, you’ll declare your education minor.
- As a junior, you’ll apply to the Master’s program at Clark University (3.0 GPA required).
- As a senior, you’ll take two graduate level classes at Clark.
- You will begin your Master of Arts in Teaching program full-time in May after your Holy Cross graduation.
The 4+1 Program is a unique program solely for Holy Cross students. You'll also benefit from a $0 Application Fee, 50% tuition reduction.

In addition to classes in theatre history and literature, students can choose to pursue the major with either an acting or design emphasis, minor in dance, or they can create a self-designed major through the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in film studies or playwriting.

Spanish
Areas of Study
The Spanish department has one of the largest and widely specialized faculty members among liberal arts colleges in the country, with expertise in Caribbean, Latin American, Latinx, Peninsular and pre-Hispanic literature, film, drama, cultural studies and women's writing, as well as creative writing, linguistics, medical humanities, critical race and decolonial studies, among other areas.

Offered through the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, the program is flexible and compatible with any major, as well as semester away and study abroad programs.

Our studio art majors have developed careers as professional artists, illustrators, photographers and arts administrators.
