My path after Holy Cross came into focus quickly; I began my role as Development Coordinator at Girl Scouts of Maine in South Portland just one week after graduating. I was drawn to this opportunity because it allows me to do meaningful, community-centered work. Looking back, Holy Cross gave me not only the academic tools but also the hands-on experiences and mentorship that empowered me to turn my passions into a career.

I am spending a year volunteering at a community health clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, where I work as a refugee health services liaison on our newcomer health team. I was drawn to this opportunity largely because of my time spent in the Office of the College Chaplains, where I experienced the impact of immersion-style volunteering and service that strives to be in solidarity with individuals and their communities.

Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship 10

Since I graduated in May, I have been working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Madrid, Spain. I work at a small school in the northwest part of the Comunidad de Madrid called IES El Boalo. In this role, I have taught students English as a second language, prepared them for their Cambridge exams, educated them about American culture and political events, and led a Model United Nations course for students to compete against other schools in Madrid. I was drawn to this opportunity because of the chance to live abroad for a whole year and the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange.
