Sincere Gratitude: Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society

Your Support Matters
Thank you for the extraordinary impact you are making on our students through your support of the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society. Because of you, this program provides our students with unique opportunities to combine business fundamentals and hands-on experiences with a robust liberal arts education, resulting in curious and compassionate people who are poised to lead with competence and heart. As we encourage our students to engage in critical thinking, problem solving, curiosity and innovation, we recognize that their progress is only possible with the generosity and vision of Carlyse and the late Art Ciocca, and supporters like you. Thank you for the vital role you play in shaping the next generation of principled leaders at Holy Cross.
We are profoundly grateful to those alumni, parents and friends who have supported the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society, including significant support from:
- Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Atchinson P05
- Mrs. Carlyse Ciocca W59
- Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Ruettgers P03, 99

Year over year, I am humbled by our generous alumni and parent supporters who impart wisdom, make connections and create opportunities for our students. These individuals –accomplished professionals who truly care about our students’ success – are our greatest assets, and the value they bring to our students is immeasurable.

Meeting Student Demand
- 77 Students completed business certificates in the 2024-2025 academic year, an increase of over 26 percent from last year.
- 25% Nearly one-fourth of all Holy Cross students participated in Ciocca Center programming in 2024-2025.
What We've Been Up To

The Ciocca Center continues to collaborate with strong campus partners to bring value added opportunities to established events. On June 7, 2025, the Ciocca Center joined in the reunion fun, hosting a CrossTalk event with Ally McDonald '95, Tavares Brewington '00 and Kati Fernandez '15.

During this session, panelists reflected on their time on The Hill, their passions, and the value a Holy Cross education brings to the workplace.

On Nov. 2, 2024, Women in Business welcomed nearly 200 alumnae and students to this year’s conference. Joanna Geraghty Kelly '94, keynote speaker and CEO of JetBlue, touted how the sense of curiosity developed by her liberal arts education enhanced her strong business leadership. Celebrating its 19th anniversary, attendees left feeling empowered to make their mark on the business world.

Innovation and critical thinking continue to thrive in the Ciocca Center. This year, 14 teams entered their business ideas and prototypes into the annual Cross Tank Competition. A panel of accomplished alumni judges evaluated the submissions based on market opportunity, viability of the business idea, path to profits, and the scalability of the business model.

On April 1, 2025, the College of the Holy Cross hosted Tom Hardin (also known as Tipper X), a former insider trader and FBI informant, to share his experiences and the lessons he learned from his involvement in white-collar crime.

Open to all campus members and a fitting complement to the College’s Jesuit mission, the event counted towards the ethics requirement for certificate program participants. This event was introduced and generously sponsored by Jeff Morton P25, managing partner of Knollwood Consulting Partners, LLC.

Alumni and students gathered in New York City for a finance bootcamp. “Participating in the Finance Boot Camp (NYC) and having the chance to meet so many accomplished alumni was truly an invaluable experience. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the teams at J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley for dedicating their time to mentor our group and for making this incredible opportunity possible. I will carry the knowledge I gained from this experience with me throughout my professional journey, and I am deeply grateful to all of the alumni who participated in and organized this year’s Finance Boot Camp,” said Lauren Yee '28
