Description
Lecture followed by a conversation with President Vincent D. Rougeau
We can’t avoid AI. But how do we know when it’s ok for AI to serve a useful function and when using AI will kill the most essential parts of our humanity? Prof. Feldman will offer a how-to framework and an argument about why being us matters.
Noah Feldman is the Arthur Kingsley Porter University Professor, Chair of the Society of Fellows, and founding director of the Julis-Rabinowitz Program on Jewish and Israeli Law, all at Harvard University. He specializes in constitutional studies, with particular emphasis on power and ethics, design of innovative governance solutions, law and religion, and the history of legal ideas.
Following the lecture, Feldman will join Vincent D. Rougeau, for a conversation about artificial intelligence, the liberal arts and the future of Jesuit Catholic higher education.
Part of the Deitchman Family Lectures on Religion and Modernity.
