Description
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Confirmation is a deepening of our baptismal call to be a witness of Jesus Christ to our neighbors (United States Catholic Catechism for Adults).
Together with Baptism and Eucharist, Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation. To learn more about what Confirmation means for Catholics, please see this info sheet.
Students who are baptized Catholics who have received First Holy Communion and are looking to become confirmed this spring, please fill out this interest form.
We will begin weekly confirmation classes on Sundays at 3pm starting November 1 and finish before Spring Break. Confirmation will take place on Sunday, April 11, 2027 at 7pm in St. Joseph Memorial Chapel. Even if you have not yet decided whether now is the time for you to become confirmed, please join us on November 1 to learn more about the process.
If you have not been baptized, you were baptized in another Christian church, or you are a Catholic who has not received First Communion, please email Fr. Andy Garavel, SJ to inquire about OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) or fill out this form.
