True Biz by Sara Nović is a coming-of-age novel set at a residential school for Deaf students. It follows three interconnected perspectives: Charlie, a new student discovering Deaf culture and ASL; Austin, a popular student navigating changes in his family; and February, the school’s headmistress fighting to keep the school open. Through their stories, the book explores communication, belonging, identity, leadership, inclusion, disability, and the tension between individual choice and community needs.

Please reach out to request ASL interpretation or any reasonable accommodation.
