One highlight of my Holy Cross experience was interning with the Department of State in the spring semester of my junior year as part of the Washington DC Semester Program. My internship experience provided me with a valuable understanding of the career field I plan on pursuing.

After graduation from Holy Cross I hope to take a year or two off before I attend medical school. In that time I wish to pursue either a domestic volunteer position or a medical scribe in nearby hospitals.

A highlight of my Holy Cross experience thus far has been the Spring Break Immersion Program. My week spent in Louisville Kentucky was both exciting as well as extremely eye-opening.

My semester in DC in the spring of my junior year and internship at the Department of State has been a highlight of my HC experience so far!

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
After graduation, my hope is to go to graduate school to get my PhD in Clinical Psychology and become a clinical trauma psychologist. 
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience.

One highlight of my Holy Cross experience was waking up to watch the sunset with my friends at the Thomas P. Joyce Contemplative Center, where all of the retreats through the Chaplain’s Office are held. Even though we were all exhausted, the sunset was beautiful, calming, and the perfect start to our day.

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
After graduation, I hope to return to U of D Jesuit High School and serve for a year as an alumni volunteer. I plan on taking the LSAT, and I am considering attending law school in the following year.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
I took part in the Spiritual Exercises over the spring break of my sophomore year. I'd been looking forward to this retreat since I first learned it was offered, and the halfway point of my time at Holy Cross seemed to be the perfect opportunity. The Spiritual Exercises invited me to pray upon where I found God's presence in my life and contemplate where He was calling me. This experience allowed me to better appreciate my time in college, and has made it especially meaningful.

After Holy Cross, I plan to work in College Admissions in some capacity while pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Psychology. 
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
As a double minor in Education and Deaf Studies, one of my favorite experiences during my time at Holy Cross has been the Community-based learning component of my American Sign Language classes. I volunteered with the Worcester Deaf Club and served as an intern at Nelson Place Elementary School, having the opportunity to interact with deaf children and the Deaf community as a whole. Through these experiences and the unique programs offered at Holy Cross, I was able to become immersed in the greater Worcester community and learn about deaf individuals and their experiences and culture.

I do not have any concrete plans, however I would love to participate in a year of service before furthering my education in graduate school. I would eventually like to pursue a career that would allow me to both work with children and utilize my knowledge regarding ASL and the Deaf culture.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
One of my favorite Holy Cross traditions is the Annual Festival of Lessons & Carols. During this event, members of the Holy Cross community provide the wider community with music and prayer during the Advent season. Each year I am in awe of how many students, faculty, and alumni come together to fill St. Joseph Memorial Chapel.

One highlight of my Holy Cross experience was the opportunity to study abroad in Bamberg, Germany. I was able to grow as a German speaker and travel throughout Europe, while managing a global pandemic.

My favorite Holy Cross memory to date was assisting with first-year move in during my sophomore year. That day is filled with so much Holy Cross pride as people come together to ensure first years have the best move-in experience and it really sets the tone for what the next 4 years will look like. It is such a special day!

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
After graduating from Holy Cross I hope to do a year or two of service work, and then attend graduate school/medical school to pursue a career in the healthcare field.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
There are so many highlights during my time at Holy Cross, however, one that really stands out to me was my experience in my first-year Montserrat course. This class was about social justice and Christianity that touched upon topics such as racism, political violence, and economic inequality and how to best combat these issues structurally and culturally. Montserrat ended up influencing my academic path as well as being the way I met some of my best friends and gained a mentor for life.

Along with the relationships that Holy Cross has allowed me to build with my faculty, I absolutely adore the sense of tradition at the College. Spring weekend, midnight breakfast, the Christmas tree lighting, and move-in day are some of my favorite days on the Hill!

I plan to eventually attend medical school, but I will take one or two years off after Holy Cross to work in a research setting or continue my studies in a masters program to prepare for medical school. 
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
One highlight of my Holy Cross experience was my visit to a L'Arche community in St. Louis, MI as part of the 2020 Spring Break Immersion Program (SBIP). It was the last "normal" week I had before the COVID-19 lockdown, so I will always remember the sense of comfort and community I felt during that trip. The St. Louis site is the smallest of all the SBIP locations, so I was also able to become very close with the three other Holy Cross girls on the trip.

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
After graduation, I’m planning to do some travelling, ideally while continuing my education.  I would like to explore the world and the medical field a little more before applying to medical school, which is one of my future goals.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
Trying out and rowing for the Holy Cross Varsity Women’s Rowing Team was a real achievement and the connections I made, as well as what I learned about myself, stand out for me as far as what college is really about.  I had never rowed before, so it was out of my comfort zone and that experience really set the tone for my college career and became the springboard for the activities and the opportunities I have had since.

It has been an absolute pleasure to experience and interact with the many perspectives of my professors, peers, and friends here at HC.  The conversations I have had both in and out of the classroom have not only been enlightening but also memorable.

One of the highlights of my Holy Cross experience has to be winning the rugby conference championship game in the fall of 2019. I made lots of great memories with my friends and teammates and enjoyed getting the opportunity to travel around New England.

Through Business Certification Program and my minor and Business, Ethics, and Society, and summer internship as a marketing inter,  I hope to secure a position in the business field with a focus on marketing and then potentially go to graduate school while working.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
I have had so many wonderful experiences during my time at Holy Cross but my favorite and most memorable experience was my time on Spring Break Immersion. A group of Holy Cross students and I travelled to Barren Springs, Virginia where we got to explore the town as well as get to know the community members living there. It was so amazing to meet new friends both from Barren Springs and from Holy Cross and support the community.

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
I am unsure of what I would like to do after graduation exactly, but I hope to be able to spend a year abroad in a Spanish-speaking country either teaching English or doing some form of service.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
Though I could list many, one highlight of my Holy Cross experience has been my trip to Colombia in January of 2020.  About 13 students, Chaplain Sam Lovett, Professor Mahri Leonard-Fleckman, and I spent time traveling to different cities and speaking with the leaders from local communities discussing their experiences in the Colombian peace process.

I have held a few internships in lobbying and government and could see myself working in D.C. However, I think my liberal arts education has prepared me for a variety of careers and would be open to working in publishing, marketing, or journalism.

Last fall I had the opportunity to study and intern in Washington D.C as part of the Washington Semester program. I valued the experiential learning and being able to put my knowledge of political science into practice.

After Holy Cross, I would like to participate in a year of service and then go on to graduate school to receive a masters in Museum Studies.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
Working as a Gateways Orientation Leader for the past three years has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had on this campus. I have been able to build lasting relationships with other Orientation Leaders and Professional Staff, help welcome incoming students to the College - both virtually and in person, and gain a plethora of knowledge about the Holy Cross community. This position has allowed me to grow so much as a person, help give back to our community, and share my love for Holy Cross with new students and families.

After I graduate from Holy Cross, I plan on taking a gap year to volunteer and work before I attend dental school. I am drawn to the complex creative and scientific elements of dentistry and I look forward to applying my skills in both areas to this field.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
One highlight of my Holy Cross experience was participating in the Spring Break Immersion Program in Ivanhoe, VA. I learned so much about the power of community and I grew so close with Holy Cross students in my group and with the members of the Ivanhoe community as well. The Spring Break Immersion Program is one of the many unique opportunities on campus that exemplifies the Holy Cross mission.

During finals week of my first year at Holy Cross, I participated in the "Eat, Pray, Study" retreat at the Joyce Contemplative Center. I had a great experience eating delicious food, participating in reflection and prayer activities, and studying hard in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this retreat to any Holy Cross student.

As the daughter of a proud alumnus, I was excited to create connections with my classmates in both an academic and social sense. During my time on the hill, I believe I have done just that; the people I have met at Holy Cross are some of the most dedicated and interesting people I have ever met, and I know that my peers feel similarly.

What are your plans after graduating from Holy Cross?
I hope to be able to use my love of history to pursue a career path in museum studies or archaeology. My past experience on an archaeological dig taught me that I want to be more involved with the physical world in my post grad career. I would love to continue to learn and help other people.
Name one highlight of your Holy Cross experience. 
​​​​​​​Learning Russian has been the most transformative experience of my life. My professors are incredible and expert, and my classmates have grown tight knit because of how small the program is. It feels like my own small pocket of home on campus.
