Heidi Grek
Visiting Assistant Professor German Studies
Heidi Grek holds a doctorate degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures and Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis (2019) and a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross (2012). After spending the past academic year as a postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University, she is excited to return to her alma mater. H
Fields: Her research interests include Goethe, the European epic tradition, and world literature. She continues to develop the comparative readings from her dissertation of Faust and Paradise Lost, The Divine Comedy, and Byron’s Don Juan.

Markus Ludwig, Remote Teaching Assistant
For the 2020-21 academic year, Remote Teaching Assistants (RTAs), rather than Foreign Language Assistants (FLAs) will teach our language practica. Mr. Ludwig who spent the last academic year in Worcester assists Prof. Grek with both the Elementary and the Intermediate German courses. Currently, Mr. Ludwig pursues a Master's Degree at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität in Bamberg, our Study Abroad Partner Institution in Germany.
