Biography
Rodrigo Fuentes (Guatemala) is the author of the short story collection Trucha panza arriba and the nonfiction novel Mapa de otros mundos. Editions of these books have appeared in Guatemala, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Bolivia, and El Salvador. Trucha panza arriba has been translated into English and French. His upcoming collection of stories, Agua la boca, will be published in Mexico and Spain in 2027. He received the Premio Centroamericano de Cuento Cuento (2014), and his books of short stories have been finalists for the Premio de Cuento Gabriel García Márquez (2018) and the Premio Ribera del Duero de Narrativa Breve (2026).
