Like all multidisciplinary minors, MES minors need to take a minimum of six courses in at least three different departments. Departments offering MES courses include Anthropology, Arabic, History, Political Science, Religious Studies, and Visual Arts.
Minors are encouraged but not required to study Arabic. A maximum of four Arabic language courses (ARAB 101, 102, 201, and 202) can be taken, combined with two other courses from two different departments.
