Federal Tax Exemption
The legal name of Holy Cross is "Trustees of the College of the Holy Cross." Trustees of the College of the Holy Cross is exempt from federal income tax as an educational institution under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

State Tax Exemption
Holy Cross is exempt from state sales and use taxes on goods and services in a variety of states. When you make a purchase on behalf of the College, the vendor typically will request that you provide a Sales Tax Exempt Certificate.
