Multicultural Psychological Services

Coordinator of Multicultural Psychological Services:
Gabby Trainor, MSW, LCSW
she | her | hers

My coordinator role for multicultural psychological services is to support the mental health needs of traditionally underrepresented groups at a predominantly White and Catholic Jesuit institution. Specifically this includes, but is not limited to, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), International students, first-generation college students, low-income students, and undocumented students. As coordinator, I serve as a resource for diversity and inclusion efforts within the office, connect with relevant student groups on campus, and engage in dialogue with community partners.

My coordinator role does not mean that I am the only therapist who can or does work with students who represent diverse communities on our campus. All of the therapists at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are trained in and provide culturally competent psychotherapy to students of all backgrounds.
