Saturday, Aug. 28 - Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021
Gateways Fall Orientation is an opportunity to further develop connections with peers and become better acclimated to and prepared for life on The Hill as the semester begins.
All first-year students participate in Gateways Fall Orientation. The program kicks off after move-in and concludes the day before classes start. We anticipate the program to be in-person this fall.
This program will share information, expectations, and resources in the areas of academics, residence life, community standards, mental health, sexual respect, and diversity and inclusion. There will also be opportunities for students to connect with classmates and build community with one another. We look forward to welcoming you to campus.

First-Year Convocation and the President’s Banquet - Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 5:45 p.m.
First-year students, student leaders, faculty and administrators convene for this celebration. Like St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose transformation began with reflection on the top of Montserrat, students will reflect on what it will take to succeed at Holy Cross. You will learn about the gifts your classmates bring to the community and celebrate the start of your journey together. President Rougeau invites you to join him for dinner at Kimball Dining Hall immediately following. Students, we suggest wearing more formal attire for these events. Suggested appropriate attire includes a blouse or collared shirt (tie optional), dress pants or khakis, or a sundress.
