Office of Disability Services

Disability Services encourages the “development of the whole person” by helping students identify and appreciate their unique characteristics and request appropriate accommodations when necessary. We also work to improve the atmosphere for and expand opportunities among diverse populations and individuals by working directly with the campus community to better understand and accommodate students with disabilities.

The Office of Disability Services coordinates accommodations for students who self-disclose with disabilities in order to promote equal access to College programs and services.We engage in an interactive process with each student and review requests on a case-by-case basis. The College of the Holy Cross complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, The ADA Amendments Act of 2008, and applicable local, state and federal statutes regarding nondiscrimination against persons with disabilities.

The College admits qualified students regardless of disability and welcomes students with disabilities into every area of life within the College. Students are encouraged to contact the Office of Disability Services with questions any time prior to application or after acceptance to the College. Students requesting extensive accommodations should contact the Office well in advance of enrollment or return to campus so that appropriate arrangements may be discussed and implemented.
