Through this program, students have the opportunity to learn the fifth most commonly spoken language in the world, and the official language of more than 20 countries and 300 million people. This influential and culturally rich language gives students a lens into a part of the world that has historically been, and remains, globally significant.

The Arabic program offers students elementary and intermediate level language courses. Students continue to hone their language skills through small group practice sessions with a native Arabic speaking foreign language assistant and compliment their classroom learning with culturally rich programs offered throughout the semester. Students who want to expand their studies may be interested in the interdisciplinary Middle Eastern Studies program, as well as studying abroad in an Arabic speaking country for full language and cultural immersion.

Program Highlights

The Arabic program offers language courses at two different levels:
  • Elementary Arabic
  • Intermediate Arabic
