Paloma Apesteguia

Language Assistant

Biography

¡Hola a todos!

My name is Paloma, but everyone just calls me Pal. I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I’m excited to be one of the Spanish FLAs for the 2024-2025 academic year!

I have an undergraduate degree in English and have been teaching English since 2021. My passion for language and storytelling has shaped both my academic and creative pursuits. I love anything that allows me to express myself, whether it’s writing, drawing, painting with watercolors, or making music (I sing and play guitar!) I’m also currently working on my first novel, which has been an exciting and challenging journey so far.

Beyond my love for creativity, I’m deeply passionate about education and language. Teaching has given me the opportunity to connect with people, help them grow, and learn from them in return. As I continue on this path, I hope to expand my experience in university teaching, refine my writing, and also explore the world of copyediting.

I can’t wait to bring a little piece of Argentina with me, share my language and traditions, and of course, introduce you to the world’s greatest invention: mate. Looking forward to meeting you all, learning from one another, and making this an unforgettable experience. ¡Nos vemos pronto!
