Biography
Всем привет!
My name is Anastasia, but my friends call me Nastya. I am 25 years old and come from Irkutsk — a beautiful Siberian city near Lake Baikal.
I am about to finish my master’s degree in philology. During my studies, I was fortunate to work in my university’s Department of Russian as a Foreign Language. Over two years, I met so many international students! What I enjoyed most was organizing fun activities for them: excursions, holiday events, and even Russian literature classes. I tried to explain complex ideas in simple words to inspire students to read Russian books in the original!
I absolutely love reading — it is one of my biggest hobbies. Sometimes I even write myself. Another passion of mine is drawing — I have been doing it my whole life. And I love traveling! Whether it is long trips to other cities and countries or short hiking trips just a couple of train stops away from the city, I enjoy it all. Traveling helps me discover new things about the world and myself.
I am so excited to join College of the Holy Cross! I can not wait to share my love for Russian language and culture with you. Looking forward to meeting you all!
