Get moving this month one minute at a time!  If you need a little motivation to get up during your day to move then register at this link to receive daily 1-minute workouts that you can do throughout your day.  Maybe even get your colleagues moving for one minute at the beginning of your next meeting.

How can you start this new year happier? Things have certainly not been easy over the last year, and we are still in difficult and uncertain times. This month, take small steps to boost happiness - for ourselves and others around us - to spread kindness and hopefully inspire others to do the same. 10th Annual GO MOVE Team Challenge begins Feb 1 

Calling all faculty and staff!  Help your team of 6 members win the 10th annual Go Move Challenge by recording your minutes of exercise to determine which Jesuit institution across the U.S. is the most active - there’ll be a Holy Cross competition too!  Learn more at Registration is open at this link.

Meet some colleagues and play some pickleball!

Join colleagues at the Flaherty Courts at The Jo.  Lace up your sneakers and learn to play pickleball - stay tuned for dates when The Jo reopens in January.  You can even play in your work clothes.  Watch this brief video to see how the game is played.  Be HC Clear and complete your annual Facility Use Waiver if you haven't already.

The Jo Open Rec Opportunities

Flaherty Courts at The Jo are available during the day for open rec opportunities like basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball!  Open rec is a time for casual play with colleagues and a chance to meet people.  All you need is your HC ID to check out the equipment at the desk.  Find the schedule on myHC. Complete your annual Facility Use Waiver and be HC ClearThe Jo Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7am-10pm // Saturday-Sunday 9am-9pm.

Meditation and The Art of Mindful Stretching in the Cantor Art Gallery 

Enjoy the Cantor Art Gallery exhibit while taking some time for quiet, self-reflection and meditation and stretching. Meditation - Fridays from 9:30-9:50 am. Dates for stretching vary.  Events correspond with current exhibition dates - return soon for upcoming Spring 2022 semester dates.

Kick off your next department meeting with a 10-15 minute wellness session that will energize your team and emphasize how to take small breaks to boost productivity and focus. Options include stretching, relaxation techniques, breath work, or discuss any wellness topic.  Or schedule a time to bring your team to The Jo to learn pickleball.
