Academic Support - Success Coaching
Students looking for individualized academic support may sign up for 30-minute success coaching appointments with staff Monday - Friday. During one-on-one appointments, students will engage in a collaborative process of developing a personalized performance-enhancement plan. Topics typically covered in appointments include time management, study strategies, test-taking tips, organization strategies, and more. One-on-One Peer Tutoring
Individual tutoring through the STEM+E Workshop will continue through the remainder of the spring semester. Students enrolled in intro and upper level scientific and quantitative courses, including accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, mathematics, and computer sciences, physics and psychology may sign up for a tutoring appointment online. Students will meet with a tutor simultaneously online.
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) for CHEM 181 and CHEM 221
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) for students enrolled in CHEM 181 and CHEM 221 will continue with a revised format. Students will be invited to participate in weekly online interactive review sessions with their Peer Assistance Leaders. Students will work through practice problems and have opportunities to practice learning strategies designed to help with success in chemistry. Information on how to participate in these sessions will be communicated directly from the PAL and posted on the website.
