Meet Your Class Chaplains

Dear Member of the Class of 2022:

Welcome to Holy Cross from your Class Chaplains! The Office of the College Chaplains supports the mission of Holy Cross through worship, community building, dialogue, service, prayer, and solidarity. In this spirit, we encourage all members of the campus community to participate in the intellectual life of the College, in the search for truth, faith, and justice.

At Holy Cross we take our Jesuit and Catholic identity seriously, which means we are committed to cura personalis—caring for and educating the whole person; we're committed to offering you meaningful opportunities to bring faith into your intellectual and moral life; and we're committed to walking with you in love, whoever you are or wherever this journey takes you.

We know that your college years will be a time of questioning, decision-making, and growth. We hope that a central part of your experience will include an ongoing spiritual development and a fuller knowledge of God’s love. To support this growth, we invite you to participate with the Chaplains' office in liturgy and prayer, service and immersion programs, retreats, and other leadership opportunities. As your Class Chaplains, we look forward to accompanying you through your time on Mount Saint James. We hope you will reach out when the need arises.

To learn more about us, check out our social media @hc_chaplains. And to get to know you better, we encourage you to fill out the questionnaire at www.holycross.edu/firstyearguide/questionnaire. You also may wish to visit our website at www.holycross.edu/firstyearguide/chaplains.

You are always welcome to stop by our offices in Campion House. Campion is open every day, except Saturday, until 10 or 11:00pm. It's a welcoming and comfortable place for you to study, fill up a free coffee or tea, and grab a homemade cookie—or just talk with someone about your day. We hope your Holy Cross experience will be joyful, adventurous, and transformative. We look forward to sharing this time with you.

Warmly,

Marty Kelly and Sam Lovett
