Higher Education Real Estate Advantage This program is a real estate and moving services benefit program that provides Holy Cross faculty and staff with access to a variety of services to support the home buying and home selling process.

A nationwide benefit for all faculty and staff, and their immediate family members*, within the United States and Canada.

Faculty and staff are eligible to receive cash rebates on the purchase and/or sale of homes, and closing cost credits on mortgages obtained through a network of approved lenders.**

The Program Specialist provides one-on-one, personalized, professional and objective real estate counseling and move management which includes home selling and buying assistance, the selection and monitoring of the real estate agent(s), financing options, and coordination of household goods moves.

The program is offered in Partnership with Holy Cross and HECCMA.

Faculty Mortgage Subsidy Program.  This program provides mortgage assistance to tenured and tenure-track faculty members for the first-time home purchase of a primary residence.  The College will provide a 15-year, below market rate 2nd mortgage equal to the faculty member's down payment up to 10% of the purchase price of the residence, at a fixed rate per annum equal to a graduated discount on the current Bank of America 15-year fixed rate with no points.  For a residence in the city of Worcester, the rate offered to eligible faculty will be discounted by 3%.  For a residence outside of the city of Worcester, the discount will be 2%.

New Home Buyer's Seminar.  Each year, the College invites a select group of realtors and lenders to campus to offer educational seminars about the home purchase process.  Seminars will be announced by Human Resources.
